Meeting held at Conforti Institute (28/01/2012).
The meeting was a good opportunity to recognise and celebrate our shared vision for our community. A process has begun. It will take time and we ask everyone to pray for one another that we may be open to renewal, remembering the gospel of John 12, 24: “a grain of wheat remains no more than a single grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies. If it does die, then it produces many grains.” We will keep you informed of any developments
Around 22 people accepted the invitation to come together to share concerns and vision for the continuing development of our faith community here at St. Alphonsus. For some it was the first time at a meeting of this kind. Given the changes that we as a community have experienced, the Xaverian Missionaries are grateful for the chance to sit down together and engage in a process of listening, dialogue and sharing. As a missionary congregation, and basing ourselves on the tried, tested and successful method of an open and collaborative process of community development, we welcome the opportunity to work with ALL members (past, present and future) who wish to participate in serving the faith community of St. Alphonsus.
